Experts believe Covid-19 isn't contained in Auckland

Experts believe Covid-19 isn't contained in Auckland

Research group Te Punaha Matatini began working on predictions soon after it emerged an Auckland family had contracted Covid-19 from an unknown source.

Professor Shaun Hendy says it's unlikely the virus is contained in one city, after modelling suggests there has been community transmission for at least a couple of weeks.

He says people need to be aware there is a good chance it has made its way outside of the region.
