The Greens promise to cut down wait times for emergency mental health treatment to three hours

The Greens promise to cut down wait times for emergency mental health treatment to three hours

The party wants to push DHB's to provide timely care, expand funding and set up a Mental Health Ministry.

Mental health spokesperson Chloe Swarbrick has unveiled the policy on World Mental Health Day today.

Swarbrick claims more than 10-thousand people in distress had to wait more than three weeks for help last year.

She warns when people have a severe mental health condition they need free, quick, quality treatment.
