    Cook Island businesses say they can't wait for New Zealand to open up its borders


    Earlier this month, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern confirmed talks had resumed and progress was being made.

    Cook Islands Tourism Industry Council president, Liana Scott says a travel bubble has been seen as a critical lifeline for the struggling tourism sector.

    She says the urgent need for the bubble is becoming clearer as cash runs out.
