New Zealand has exported far more than it's imported during the Covid 19 pandemic

New Zealand has exported far more than it's imported during the Covid 19 pandemic

Stats NZ says New Zealand had a 1.7 billion dollar annual goods trade surplus in the year to September.

Imports fell 5.9 billion, with a sharp drop in fuel and car imports.

A similar fall happened during the global financial crisis more than a decade ago.

During that crisis, exports also dropped, but this time around, exports have held up very well.
