Two gunmen who shot at a Police officer in Northland this morning ... were in a silver or grey sedan

Police are still looking for the occupants - who are both believed to be male, masked, and solidly built.

Detective Inspector Dene Begbie says the officer whose windscreen was peppered with shot, is still shaken.

He says Police are taking this matter seriously, and are working to bring those involved to account.

Police are urging anyone with information or who saw a Nissan Skyline, registration M-W-D-8-3-9 to contact Kerikeri Police on 105 .
