Tower Insurance will receive 42 million from the Earthquake Commission

Tower Insurance will receive 42 million from the Earthquake Commission

It's an outstanding payment resulting from the Canterbury earthquakes.

Tower chairman Michael Stiassny says the settlement is a good outcome that means the company can now fully focus to the future.

EQC chief executive Sid Miller says now both businesses can draw a line under the past - while continuing to sort remaining claims for customers.
