The costs of the postponed Tokyo Olympics continue to meet the Games values by getting faster, higher and stronger

They've increased by 22 per cent to 21.9 billion dollars - that's up four billion on last year's budget.
The exponential expenditure is as a result of the one-year delay requiring the renegotiating of contracts and measures to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.
The 2021 Games have already taken the gold medal for the most expensive in history.
