A third homicide investigation has been launched in Christchurch -- in less than two weeks

A third homicide investigation has been launched in Christchurch -- in less than two weeks

Police are at a home on Main North road in Papanui -- after a man's body was discovered this morning on about 9.45.

Herald senior crime reporter Anna Leask says it's the latest in a string of violent crimes in Canterbury.

She says comes after the death of a man who presented at Christchurch Hospital with critical injuries on New Year's day, a double shooting at a Kaiapoi property, north of Christchurch -- and the homicide of Linwood resident, Michael Graham.
