Chris Hipkins says provisional NCEA results are extremely encouraging, given the disruption to students

Chris Hipkins says provisional NCEA results are extremely encouraging, given the disruption to students

The Education Minister says the results are broadly similar to - or slightly better than - previous years.

And Hipkins says school leavers who sat NCEA level three did better than the year before.

He says he had been very concerned about this group, because the consequences have a big bearing on what they do beyond school.
