A high-risk sex offender has been jailed for three months for accessing the internet ... with the help of another paedophile

Stephen Brett Scully was released from Rolleston Prison in July 2018, and has since been subject to an extended supervision order that's set to lapse in mid-2023.

He'd spent 43 months in jail on child pornography charges.

It's the second time the 61-year-old's been in court for breaching his supervision order by accessing the internet.

Judge Josephine Bouchier says her decision comes down to risk....and she has to err on the side of caution for the sake of the community.
