Napier police say further charges are likely after a shooting in the city's nightlife hotspot, allegedly gang related

Two people were shot early on Sunday morning outside a bar at West Quay.

A 27-year-old man's been charged with two counts of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

He's facing a further charge of aggravated robbery for an unrelated incident, along with a second man.

Both have been remanded in custody to re-appear in the Napier District Court later this month.
