    A call from the Greens for the covid leave support scheme to be improved


    The Prime Minister says she's open-minded about tweaking it -- but that she hasn't had sustained feedback from employers about any issues with the way it's working.

    Green party Covid-19 Response spokesperson Julie Anne Genter says the scheme needs to be more generous.

    She says we need people to be able to afford to stay home from work when they need to self isolate.

    Genter says there has been stories about people feeling financial pressure -- or pressure from their employer -- to go into work when they should be at home.
