Auckland businesses fear our economy is deteriorating

Auckland businesses fear our economy is deteriorating

A new Auckland Business Chamber survey of about 800 companies, shows a whopping 57 percent believe the economy will worsen over the next six months.

A significant percentage also say what we have now is as good as it gets.

Auckland Business Chamber Chief Executive Michael Barnett is surprised by the results.

He says businesses are going to need to keep looking forward, and plan on how to operate in this new Covid-19 environment.
