Katie Price says her mum Amy “hasn’t got long to live”

Amy is currently battling terminal idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, an incurable lung condition, and Katie has now said her mum’s condition is worsening, and she doesn’t have long left to live

Speaking in a mini-documentary for ‘Steph’s Packed Lunch’ – which aired on Wednesday (14.04.21) – Katie said: “My mum is my absolute rock, my absolute best friend. To be told she’s got an incurable breathing disease breaks my heart. Sadly, she hasn’t got long left to live.”

The documentary shows Katie, 42, visiting mindset coach Will Murtha to learn how to balance her grief with making the most of Amy's final days.

She added: “What I’ve learned from today is to spend as much time as I can with my mum. You’ve just got to take each day as it is, build as many memories, don’t have regrets and just be happy.”

Meanwhile, Katie previously spoke about her mum’s condition when she said Amy is now on an oxygen machine to help get air into her lungs.

She explained: "Now she's on oxygen, its hit home again. She's only got like 32 percent left of her lung capacity. So if you imagine now being that out of breath, it must be awful, and it's an awful way to go.

"It's horrible to see my mum go through it because she's so active, it's cruel."

Katie also detailed how her mum turned to the British Lung Foundation for support and advice, and was told about making the most of the rest of her life.

She said: "Just build memories, take lots of pictures, that's all you can do really. You know it's coming and have to learn to deal with it."
