There's belief Northland will benefit from the overhaul of the health system

There's belief Northland will benefit from the overhaul of the health system

The Government's scrapping all 20 District Health Boards and replacing them with one national organisation, with four regional divisions.

Northland DHB says the emphasis on Te Tiriti partnerships, equity, and a revamping of the primary and community sector, suggests there'll be a greater focus on their local communities.

Chief Executive Dr Nick Chamberlain says these are positive changes for the north and will ensure people in the region have a voice.
