Work is underway to establish the next steps of The Christchurch Call

Work is underway to establish the next steps of The Christchurch Call

It's the promise initiated by Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern to eliminate violent extremist content online made in the wake of the Christchurch mosque attacks in 2019.

Global leaders and tech companies met in an online virtual summit this morning.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says the call has made progress over the past two years.

She says they've seen changes in the way tech companies moderate content to prevent something like what happened in Christchurch happening again.
