The Immigration Minister has a message for the hospitality sector

The Immigration Minister has a message for the hospitality sector

The Restaurant Association's launched a two-month campaign, because of a severe staffing shortage across the country.

Kris Faafoi says with the borders closed, what was a fire hydrant flow of people is now a stream going through the head of a needle - so it's always going to cause issues.

He says some of these sectors that have traditionally relied on migrant labour, have to think about how they attract and train people.

Kris Faafoi says the Government is still committed to Working Holiday visas - but they're more difficult when the borders are closed.
