Stacey Solomon's son Rex is home from hospital

The 'Loose Women' star's two-year-old son - whom she has with fiance Joe Swash - needed stitches on his lip after a nasty fall over the weekend, and after an overnight stay at the medical facility, the tot is now back at home

Stacey - who has sons Zach, 13, and Leighton, nine, from previous relationships - shared a sweet photo of Rex with his siblings and admitted she was emotional.

She wrote on her Instagram Story: "I know I'm extremely overtired but my hormones can't take these three right now.

"That's the biggest smile I've seen on his face all day... you just wouldn't even think any of toaday happened! We love you pickle bum."

The post revealing Rex is back home with his brothers comes after Stacey - who is pregnant with her second child with Joe - thanked the NHS for their hard work.

She said: "Everything went so well. We will be bac soon. Thank you for your lovely kind messages.

"Thank you to everyone here at @bhrut_nhs from giving birth here to fixing the pickles your staff and everyone who works so hard in your trust have always been so amazing.

"And I know first hand how busy and hard worked you all are. So grateful to our NHS always and forever...

"Thank you for all that you do. You're incredible. And we are so lucky to have you (sic)"

On Monday, the 31-year-old star revealed Rex had suffered a “nightmare” accident in the garden over the weekend and required sterile strips to close the wound.

Speaking on Instagram, Stacey said: “We had a nightmare yesterday. Rex fell over in the garden and we were like, ‘Up you get.’ Then we looked and it was not an ‘up you get’ situation.

“He hurt his lip so we took him to A&E and he had some little butterfly strips put on.”

She continued: “I’m going back today to get him some proper stitches, because it’s in a really awkward place.

“But he was so good and he didn’t make a sound. He was just like: ‘Yeah, fix it,’ to the doctor. But he was so good.”
