Wellington Police are investigating a string of drug-related robberies arranged through social media - where both sellers and buyers are being victimised

Wellington Police are investigating a string of drug-related robberies arranged through social media - where both sellers and buyers are being victimised

Police say there have been at least 10 such instances of theft and assault in the last six months.

Detective Senior Sergeant Haley Ryan says, while buying and selling drugs is illegal, that doesn't mean Police won't investigate if you're the victim of a crime.

She says the theft of a prohibited substance is still theft, and when accompanied with assault is very serious.
