Beauden Barrett and Brodie Retallick are back.

Barrett has returned from a playing stint in Japan, while Retallick last wore the black jersey at the World Cup.

Foster says the Barrett call was straight forward, then he turned his attention to Retallick.

Midfielder Quinn Tupaea, prop Ethan de Groot, loose forward Ethan Blackadder and halfback Finlay Christie are the newcomers, while prop George Bower returns but is yet to play for New Zealand.
