A man charged over a Dunedin supermarket attack has pleaded not guilty to four counts of attempted murder

A man charged over a Dunedin supermarket attack has pleaded not guilty to four counts of attempted murder

The 42-year-old allegedly attacked two staff members and a couple in Countdown last month.

The man elected trial by jury when he appeared by video link from prison in the High Court at Dunedin this morning.

His name will stay suppressed for now -- and whether that continues will be argued at a hearing in August.

The victims of the attack have all been discharged from hospital.
