A crucial delivery of 150-thousand Covid vaccines has arrived in New Zealand - two days early
5 July 2021
The shipment - the largest in this country to date - arrived yesterday afternoon.
Jacinda Ardern says she's relieved the vaccines have arrived.
New Zealand had distributed nearly all of its vaccine supply, with all stock expected to have been used by Wednesday.
The Government had made a decision to ramp up its vaccine rollout this month, which is why none had been held in storage.
Quality checks will be conducted on the new vaccines, to ensure ultra-low temperatures have been maintained and that none of the vials was damaged in transit.
They'll be shipped around the country today.
