Three men are in custody, police have seized two guns and a child has moderate injuries after a car jacking in South Auckland

Three men are in custody, police have seized two guns and a child has moderate injuries after a car jacking in South Auckland

The incident began when police signalled a vehicle to stop after spotting a man wanted on a warrant.

The driver took off and the vehicle was stopped by road spikes in Papakura.

Police say the three occupants then forced two members out of a car and took off, driving erratically and at speed.

The vehicle collided with another carrying a mother and two children in Settlement Road Opaheke.

Police say fortunately no one was seriously hurt -however a child has since been taken to Middlemore Hospital for observations.
