The Kiwi women's K4 crew will need to be in-sync if they're to progress beyond their semifinal this afternoon

The Kiwi women's K4 crew will need to be in-sync if they're to progress beyond their semifinal this afternoon

Lisa Carrington, Caitlin Regal, Alicia Hoskin and Teneale Hatton are vying for New Zealand's fourth canoe sprint medal this Olympics - Carrington's already claimed three golds.

A top four finish will secure a spot in the final this afternoon.

Coach Gordon Walker says all their communication must take place before the race.

Their semifinal is underway at roughly quarter past one.
