A small number of incidents at Auckland's Covid-19 border are causing headaches for police

A small number of incidents at Auckland's Covid-19 border are causing headaches for police

Staff working on the Orams Road checkpoint overnight stopped a vehicle attempting to travel northbound into Auckland.

The driver was visibly intoxicated, and was taken by Police to Huntly to undergo excess breath alcohol testing.

Police say it's fortunate the driver didn't cause harm to themselves or any other road users overnight.
