Emmys red carpet: Here's who brought their A-game to the first red carpet in two years

After last year's Emmys-from-home, our favourite celebrities are back at werk on the red carpet with plenty of style hits and misses.

After last year's Emmy's-from-home, our favourite celebrities are back at werk on the red carpet.

Unlike last year, there is "a limited audience of nominees and their guests", but that hasn't stopped everyone from rocking the red carpet.

King of the Emmys himself, RuPaul Charles, appeared moderately understated in comparison to his fashion on the show. After winning Outstanding Competition Program for Drag Race, Charles is now the most decorated black artist in the history of the Emmys.

Nicole Byer totally nailed it in this gorgeous purple gown with piping far too beautiful to ever appear on her show.

Queen's Gambit star Anya Taylor-Joy missed out on acting awards for her role in the Netflix hit, but she unanimously won over fashion critics with this moment of pure elegance.

You wouldn't know it at first glance, but Billy Porter's feathers were meant to be floor length. He told Karamo Brown on the red carpet the cape was adapted to wings at the last minute.

Jason Sudekis dressed for the spotlight, clearly anticipating the attention his show Ted Lasso would receive.

All aboard the split train: the thigh-high split in front, train behind was a popular choice for a lot of attendees.

Eugene Levy clearly missed out on the colour memo.

Elizabeth Olsen kept it in-house with this look designed by her sisters' business.

Yara Shahidi was a fashion-critic favourite with this old-Hollywood glam.

For some, it was all about the colour.

Others went for a more classic black look.

Host of the awards, Cedric the Entertainer went bold in this blue suit.

The cast of The Crown cleaned up the drama awards remotely in a ceremony in London.

It's fair to say that Corrin received... mixed reviews of their accessories tonight.

The cast and crew of Saturday Night Live arrived in drips and drabs.

One of the presenters for the night, Jennifer Coolidge, paired a classic silhouette with her classic pout.

Long-running comedy program The Late Show with Stephen Colbert missed out on awards tonight.

Special mention also goes out to Bowen Yang for inventing shoes.

And to the Hamilton cast for this colour coordination on stage.
