The mayor of Queenstown and Wanaka is asking people to behave

The mayor of Queenstown and Wanaka is asking people to behave

A man is under investigation after allegedly flying from Whangarei to Wellington on Saturday, then on to Queenstown.

Police say he didn't have an appropriate travel exemption nor permission to leave Whangarei, which is in alert Level three.

Earlier, an Auckland couple fled Auckland's lockdown for Wanaka.

Mayor Jim Boult says he doesn't get why people think they will get away with such stuff, given the grief from the earlier infringement.
