Lockdown's put a dampener on real estate activity in Auckland, but the rest of the country's seeing a spring lift

The median house price for New Zealand, excluding Auckland, increased by 23 percent to a new record of 720 thousand dollars last month, year-on-year.

In the country's biggest city, the median house price shot up by 20 percent over the year to 1.15 million.

However, the Real Estate Institute says the median price in Auckland has dropped by 4.2 percent since August, when it reached a record 1.2 million.
