The NRL has issued premiership winning Penrith Panthers duo Nathan Cleary and Stephen Crichton breach notices, after they were seen on social media acting in a disrespectful manner toward the NRL trophy

Cleary has been fined seven thousand dollars, and Crichton four thousand, and the club will be responsible for the cost of the repairs to the trophy.

Meanwhile fellow Panther Tyrone May has also been issued with a breach notice - alleging he acted contrary to the best interests of the game for posting and being part of social media posts which do not align with the values of the game.

He's been issued with a seven and a half thousand dollar fine.
