The Government's enhanced support package for businesses won't be enough for everyone, but will help

The Government's enhanced support package for businesses won't be enough for everyone, but will help

It's moving Resurgence Payments to be paid out fortnightly - and at double the current rate.

Eligible businesses will now be able to receive up to 24-thousand dollars each, every two weeks.

Auckland's Heart of the City CEO Viv Beck says the weekly resurgence payment will give businesses certainty, which will help with fixed costs.

She says other things are needed, like access to low-cost and easy-to-repay money.

Viv Beck says it won't be enough for everybody because some people are in difficult circumstances but says it's a tangible show of support.
