Not all parents are keen for their children to do exams in person

Not all parents are keen for their children to do exams in person

A group of around 130 parents with children at Rangitoto College in Auckland want exams to be put online.

They say the risk of Covid-19 transmission is too high as a positive wastewater test was detected there.

Ministry of Education Operations Leader Sean Teddy says high vaccination levels and other public health measures will keep people safe.

Spokesperson Louie Lou says while teachers have to be vaccinated, there's no requirement for students to get jabbed.

She says that means unvaccinated students can enter the school.
