The Police Association's concerned at today's Glen Eden shooting -- for the officers wounded and family of the person who died

The Police Association's concerned at today's Glen Eden shooting -- for the officers wounded and family of the person who died

Three officers were injured - one seriously - after a man opened fire at them in the Auckland suburb.

He was shot dead by police.

Association vice-president Mike McRandle says officers attempted to resolve the situation calmly -- but matters escalated and they had to respond.

An officer was also seriously injured last night - when hit by a car as he deployed road spikes in Auckland's New Lynn.
