    A man has died following a single car crash near Kaitaia around 9am

    A man has died following a single car crash near Kaitaia around 9am


    He was the sole occupant.

    Police say inquiries are ongoing -- but it appears it may have been due to a medical event.

    The death has been referred to the coroner.
