Buyers should wait for the right moment, to jump on to the housing ladder

Buyers should wait for the right moment, to jump on to the housing ladder

New figures from Core Logic shows only 36 of the country's almost one-thousand suburbs now have a median house value below 400-hundred thousand dollars.

And the median value in seven suburbs increased by more than 40-percent last year.

Chief Property Economist Kelvin Davidson says prices are expected to slow down this year.

He says as mortgage rates rise, lending rules tighten, and buyers get more choice, prices will balance out.
