Police are still investigating the death of a man at Pauanui on the Coromandel Peninsula - after a boat overturned earlier this month

Police are still investigating the death of a man at Pauanui on the Coromandel Peninsula - after a boat overturned earlier this month

Maritime New Zealand is also investigating.

The man's family says they're grieving the loss of a husband, father and grandfather who loved the sea, and spending time with his family.

They say they're focusing on supporting their two young family members in hospital, and each other.

They are now waiting for the investigation results - to get a full and accurate understanding of why this happened.
