Breaking a New Zealand record was always in the back of runner Geordie Beamish's mind

Breaking a New Zealand record was always in the back of runner Geordie Beamish's mind

At the Millrose Games in New York, Beamish set a new national indoor record in the men's 3000 metres, with a time of seven minutes and 39 seconds.

Beamish plans to feature at the world indoor athletics championships in Serbia in March.
