More than four-thousand care packages have been delivered to Dunedin's student population

More than four-thousand care packages have been delivered to Dunedin's student population

More than a thousand students have Covid.

The Otago Daily Times reports the central city WellSouth testing centre has been giving out hundreds of test kits a day since last week.

In comparison, the Te Kaika testing centre is sitting idle.

Otago University Student Association President Melissa Lama says many students have been reaching out for support from the association.

She says students have been going to testing stations as a flat and actively using the association's support.

Lama says this shows they're not just trying to cope with Covid on their own.
