Many New Zealanders are still not keen on buying an electric vehicle

Driven surveyed two and a half thousand kiwis on their attitudes towards sustainable vehicles.
Three quarters say cost is the largest deterrent, more than half noted driving range per charge puts them off, with a similar number saying charging station accessibility is a concern.
NZME Head of Automotive and Driven Natasha Callister says across major highways there are chargers every 75 kilometres.
She says the average trip people make is less than 10 kilometres long.
