An Auckland mayoral candidate is welcoming a possible return to business for the Waiwera hot pools

An Auckland mayoral candidate is welcoming a possible return to business for the Waiwera hot pools

    They closed in 2018.

Urban Partners owns the properties and is seeking a buyer or partner to either purchase its stake, or enter into a joint venture.

Hibiscus and Bays Local Board chair Gary Brown is pleased some kind of development is going to happen.

He says it won't only benefit the coast, but the whole of Auckland, and could be a great tourist attraction.
