The Black Sticks women finally hit the hockey turf against international opposition tonight, for the first time since last year's Tokyo Olympics

The Black Sticks women finally hit the hockey turf against international opposition tonight, for the first time since last year's Tokyo Olympics

They're hosting Australia in four matches at North Harbour's National Hockey Centre.

Co-captain Megan Hull insists they've been using the time away from competition very well in training.

But now it's time for the true test.

    The game starts at 7.05pm.
