If you threaten to harm others, you will be held to account

If you threaten to harm others, you will be held to account

That's the message from police after the sentencing of a woman who sent multiple bomb threats to Otago University in December 2020

The former university student will serve five months community detention and nine months supervision.

She appeared yesterday at Auckland District Court.on a representative charge of threats of harm to people or property.

Southern District Commander Superintendent Paul Basham says these threats had a profound impact on the Dunedin community.

He says the message the sentencing gives is clear - if you threaten to harm, police will investigate and identify who you are.
