Cycling New Zealand has committed to changing the way it deals with internal issues

Cycling New Zealand has committed to changing the way it deals with internal issues

The independent inquiry report which was commissioned following the passing of Olympian Olivia Podmore has been released.

The document states the closed culture and use of non-disclosure agreements is concerning, and CNZ has an obligation to be more transparent and provide public accountability as it's a public funded monopoly.

CNZ chair Phil Holden says they want to tackle issues head on, rather than hushing them up and pretending they don't exist.

Former New Zealand Olympic Committee boss Kereyn Smith has taken on the role as transformation director of Cycling New Zealand, as well as sitting on the board.
