The Act candidate for Tauranga says comments by the temporary commissioner show disrespect for the region

The Act candidate for Tauranga says comments by the temporary commissioner show disrespect for the region

Former National MP Anne Tolley chairs the Government-appointed commission running the City Council.

She says candidates in next month's by-election should focus on real world solutions ? and said they were out of touch.

But candidate Cameron Luxton says she's out of line.

He says instead of reinstating democracy, the Commissioner is weighing in, showing Tauranga is disrespected on a national scale.
