The Chair of the Maori Health Authority believes a review of vaccine rates will result in more doses administered

The Chair of the Maori Health Authority believes a review of vaccine rates will result in more doses administered

It's expected our national vaccination rate is lower than previously trumpeted, as the data used to calculate the rate only includes those 12 and over before June 30 2020.

And then, only if they'd accessed health services that year.

Stats NZ is looking into the numbers.

Matthew Tukaki says it's good timing.

He says what we're going to see is the prospect of more additional doses or booster shots coming about as more variants enter the country ... or as the real tail of covid-19 begins to emerge.
