Consumer NZ has found more than half of the sunscreens they have tested, deserve a slap

Of the 21 sunscreens tested, only eight meet their SPF label claim.

Consumer NZ's Belinda Allan says it's important to choose sunscreen you can trust when hitting the slopes or going or a tropical winter holiday.

Ms Allan says with the highest rates of melanoma in the world, it's not good enough that New Zealand shoppers can't trust the labels on sunscreens.

Consumer NZ has filed a complaint with the Commerce Commission.
