    The Silver Ferns squad for the Birmingham Commonwealth Games is about to be named following a powhiri at Auckland's Wesley College


    Dame Noeline Taurua will announce her team of 12 at 11.30.

    27 players went through four days of trials in Wellington last week, going through fitness testing and skills.

    The team will compete against the men in Auckland next month and an invitational mixed team before heading to Birmingham.
