Calls for the Government to point their finger towards solutions -- not people

Calls for the Government to point their finger towards solutions -- not people

Newstalk ZB can reveal 1.2 billion dollars has been spent on emergency housing across the country since 2017 ... with a large portion of that spent on housing people in motels.

Restore Rotorua Chairman Trevor Newbrook told Kate Hawkesby five to 10 families are moved to Rotorua every week to be housed in emergency accommodation.

He's frustrated by ministers blaming previous Governments, when they've been in in office for five years.

He says no one cares about whose fault it is, what matters now is that we have a plan to fix the problem.
