Doctors in Christchurch's East say patient bookings haven't risen because of the Bromley stench, but there's been a noticeable lift in symptoms experienced

Canterbury DHB medical officer of health, Doctor Cheryl Brunton, has told the Council six out of seven clinics consulted say specifically linked appointments haven't increased.

But more patients have been dealing with nausea, headaches, eye, throat and skin irritation, and sleep disturbance - all symptoms of the gases emitted by the plant.

Brunton says residents can help form a picture of what's happening, by going to the GP so their experiences and symptoms are recorded.
