Tom Walsh wants to change the narrative in men's shot put as he gets back in the ring at the Cooks Classic in Whanganu tonight

The South Cantabrian defended his Commonwealth Games title last year - but took a back seat to American rivals Ryan Crouser and Joe Kovacs at major international meets.

The pair combined to throw further than Walsh's best mark of 2022 on 14 occasions.

Walsh says he's motivated to prove he's as good as his rivals.
