    Hamilton West's new MP was caught by emotion while delivering his maiden speech in Parliament last night


    National's Tama Potaka won the byelection late last year, following the resignation of Labour MP Gaurav Sharma.

    He told the House last night of the fight of his whanau, to resist Maori land loss.

    Potaka made a promise to help restore unity in Aotearoa.
